The Greater Washington Board of Trade

Twenty-seven enterprises located in two distinct areas of Washingon, DC, the Marshall Heights area, in ward seven, to the east and the Columbia Heights area, in ward one, just north of downtown have become participants in a program that encourages the building and strengthening of relationships between The Greater Washington Board of Trade members and neighborhoods in the District. The principle idea is to expand economic development in inner city neighborhoods, empower neighborhood-based enterprises and facilitate a more conducive environment for longer-term and larger-scale business investment and development.
