NetNoir Online Celebrates Three Years as the Nation's Number One Site for Black Content, Community and eCommerce.

NetNoir, Inc. is an African-American majority-owned California corporation based in San Francisco. It is the leading new media company promoting, developing, digitizing, archiving and distributing distinctive Black/Urban programming and commercial applications for all forms of interactive media. NetNoir's business model includes three business divisions - NetNoir Multimedia Services, NetNoir Online and NetNoir Market Research.

NetNoir Online launched on June 19 (1995) because of its historical significance to the African American Community. "Juneteenth" is the oldest African American holiday in the country. It represents a two year lapse in communication between the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation in 1865 and the slaves first hearing of this in Texas.

NetNoir is a symbolic reminder to African Americans that communication is vital to freedom.
