Through the years, the famous “Black Pearl”, Atlantic Beach, was the only beach front around available to Black residents and vacationers. Now, Omega International Consulting Firm, volunteers and residents are charting the course for its rebirth.

“The Rebirth of Atlantic Beach ... the “Black Pearl”, is the first annual summit designed to bring together those interested in learning more about the town, its developers, investors and supporters. Scheduled for November 6-8, the summit will include a golf tournament, reception, workshops and a gala ball. Merv McMillian, Town Manager, says “Atlantic Beach brings with it a lot of history ... we want to preserve the history and grow with the times. This beach town will be a vacation destination for all people.”
