DIRECTOR OF YOUTH PROGRAMS POSITION AVAILABLE

The Anacostia Congress Heights Partnership (ACHP) is seeking a Director of Youth Programs. The Director of Youth Programs will primarily:

Plan, coordinate, and implement all ACHP youth programs and related activities
Maintain and enlarge group of youth/teen participants
Ensure youth participation in ACHP and related youth events
Direct daily task of up to five (5) AmeriCorp members
Coordinate and enhance ACHP Youth Programs Steering Committee
Firmly establish an ACHP Youth Advisory Committee and coordinate youth responsibilities
Maintain progress records for youth entering and exiting program
Write monthly program reports and maintain all youth program records

Ideal candidate will have:

Minimum of three (3) years direct community organizing experience and supervisory skills (preferably working with teens)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work variable hours (some evenings and weekends required)
Experience working with teen or youth populations
Computer literacy (Windows95, MS Word, Corel WordPerfect, Internet/Web)
Strong organizational skills
Have own vehicle and insurance coverage
